Santa Cruz, CA. – One person was seriously injured in a car accident that happened on Sunday evening in Santa Cruz.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Highway 1 near Mar Monte Avenue at around 5:51 p.m.
A 21-year-old man was driving a gray Lexus when he collided with a silver Ford Fusion operated by a 70-year-old woman from Watsonville.
The Ford Fusion rolled over after the collision.
The woman sustained major injuries and was airlifted to an area hospital for treatment.
The man suffered minor injuries in the accident. He was arrested for felony reckless driving.
