A Ford and a Nissan were involved in the accident.
An occupant in the Nissan hit their chest. The victim was transported to Natividad Medical Center with the complaint of pain to the chest and left knee.
The female occupant in the Ford was not injured.
About 45 feet of chain-link fence on the north shoulder was destroyed in the crash.
Authorities are investigating the collision.
