Bakersfield, CA. – One person died, and two others were injured in a fiery multi-vehicle collision that happened Saturday evening in Bakersfield.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident was reported around 7:30 p.m. on Highway 65 just south of Famoso Road.
CHP officers responded to the scene and found several cars involved in the collision, including one that caught fire.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two other people were taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
Investigators closed Highway 65 in both directions near Famoso Road following the crash.
