Spokane, WA – A pedestrian was hospitalized after a crash at an intersection in Spokane on Monday.

According to the Spokane Police Department, the incident happened at the intersection of 2nd Avenue and Division Street.

The police said a pedestrian was in the crosswalk when a car traveling north failed to yield and struck them.

The victim sustained potentially life-threatening injuries and was rushed to the hospital for treatment.

The driver stayed at the scene and was arrested on suspicion of vehicular assault.

The accident remains under investigation.
