According to the California Highway Patrol, the mishap happened at around 8:28 p.m. on February 7, in the 3600 block of Willow Glen Drive.
El Cajon, CA – The San Diego County Coroner’s Office has identified a driver and a passenger killed in a car crash Friday night in El Cajon as 48-year-old Michael Troy Droegemeier and Lowell Gentry McCrea, 32, of El Cajon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the mishap happened at around 8:28 p.m. on February 7, in the 3600 block of Willow Glen Drive.
Per the reports, a California Highway Patrol Officer was traveling eastbound on the roadway when he encountered a three-vehicle collision. McCrea was pinned within the passenger seat of a sedan and was unresponsive as well as the driver of the vehicle Droegemeier.
Droegemeier was pronounced dead at the scene.
McCrea was taken to Sharp Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
No additional information about the collision was provided.
An investigation is underway.
