Petre suffered critical injuries and was transported to Desert Regional Medical Center where he died
Palm Desert, CA. – 72-year-old Patrick Petre died after being struck by a car as he rode a bicycle in Palm Desert on Thursday morning.
According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, the bicycle accident happened around 6:30 a.m. at Fred Waring Drive and San Pablo Avenue.
The Palm Desert man was riding a bicycle in the area and was struck by a vehicle.
Petre suffered critical injuries and was transported to Desert Regional Medical Center where he died on Friday afternoon.
The vehicle’s driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the police.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
