CHP says one person was transported to Natividad Medical Center for treatment of major injuries
Monterey County, CA. – One person was seriously injured in a traffic collision that occurred near Carmel-By-The-Sea in Monterey County on Thursday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 7:24 a.m. on County Road 16 near Rio Vista Drive.
Two vehicles were involved in the collision. The circumstances surrounding the collision were not immediately determined.
One person was trapped in the wreckage and had to be extricated.
CHP says one person was transported to Natividad Medical Center for treatment of major injuries.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
