Monterey, CA. – One person was severely injured in a traffic collision that happened Sunday night between Monterey and Carmel-By-The-Sea.
The accident occurred around 9:56 p.m. on northbound State Route 1, just south of Aguajito Road.
Four vehicles were involved in the collision. One of the cars overturned onto its side.
Monterey police and firefighters responded to the scene and closed the roadway.
One person suffered major injuries in the accident, the report said. The victim was hospitalized in an unknown condition.
Authorities are investigating to establish the cause of the crash.
