Preliminary investigation revealed the incident occurred when a woman driving a black 1998 Honda Civic eastbound on Wilson Road struck Ibarra as he attempted to cross the street.
Jackson County, OR – 35-year-old Omar Salas Ibarra of Central Point was identified as a pedestrian fatally struck Saturday late night in Central Point.
According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s County, the wreck happened in the 400 block of Wilson Road at around 11:30 p.m. August 10.
Preliminary investigation revealed the incident occurred when a woman driving a black 1998 Honda Civic eastbound on Wilson Road struck Ibarra as he attempted to cross the street.
Despite life-saving measures Ibarra was declared deceased at the scene.
More information about the crash was not available.
An investigation is ongoing.
