According to the Sacramento Fire Department, the accident happened around 7 p.m. in the area of Northgate Boulevard and Wisconsin Way.
A vehicle reportedly struck a vehicle on the roadway in unclear circumstances.
The bicyclist suffered serious injuries and was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
