1 Killed, 1 Injured in Car Crash on Highway 87 near Curtner Avenue in San Jose
Santa Clara County, California (August 6, 2022) – One person died in a multi-car accident that left one other person seriously injured on Friday night in San Jose.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly collision happened on Highway 87 near Curtner Avenue at around 10:28 p.m.
An Acura was traveling on the roadway when it struck a guardrail and overturned. The vehicle was then struck by two other vehicles.
An 18-year-old passenger who was sitting in the front of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of the deceased person was not immediately disclosed.
A rear-seat passenger was hospitalized with major injuries after being ejected from the vehicle.
The collision shut down all lanes of the highway as officers cleared the scene.
