Huntington Beach, California (September 13, 2021) – A woman was killed in a traffic collision that occurred in Huntington Beach on Saturday evening, according to the Orange County Coroner’s Office.

The incident happened on Pacific Coast Highway, just south of Warner Avenue, at around 8:17 p.m. September 11.

According to deputies, Meghan Wautlet, 22, of Huntington Beach was riding on a motorcycle that was being driven at a high rate of speed and erratically northbound on the PCH when the motorcycle collided with a northbound vehicle that was trying to make a U-turn.

Meghan Wautlet Dies in Huntington Beach Crash on PCH

Wautlet died at the scene of the collision.

The man driving the motorcycle was transported to a hospital with serious injuries.

Drugs or alcohol were not believed to be factors in the crash.

The accident remained under investigation.
