Driver Seriously Injured in Windsor Crash on Highway 101 near Arata Lane
Sonoma, California (September 28, 2022) – A driver was seriously injured in a collision involving a Caltrans vehicle on Wednesday afternoon in Windsor.
The California Highway Patrol says the accident happened at around 2 p.m. on Highway 101 near Arata Lane.
A Toyota Camry was traveling on the roadway when it crashed into the rear of a Caltrans truck which was protecting a worker who was trimming vegetation in the center median.
The driver of the Toyota Camry was seriously injured in the crash and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
No one else was injured in the crash.
Both northbound lanes of the freeway were closed as officers examined the accident scene.
No additional information about the crash was provided.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
