A preliminary investigation revealed that a 2018 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Ocean Boulevard when it drifted into the westbound lanes of Ocean Boulevard and struck a 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse traveling westbound.

Long Beach, CA. – A female passenger was killed, and man rider injured in a Tuesday night motorcycle accident on East Ocean Boulevard in Long Beach.
The crash occurred at about 10:30 p.m. October 1 on East Ocean Boulevard and Kennebec Avenue, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
A preliminary investigation revealed that a 2018 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Ocean Boulevard when it drifted into the westbound lanes of Ocean Boulevard and struck a 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse traveling westbound.
The motorcycle driver and passenger were thrown from the motorcycle and came to rest in the westbound lanes of Ocean Boulevard.
The police said speed is believed to be a factor in the collision.
The female passenger was killed and the male rider was hospitalized with injuries for treatment.
Their names were not immediately disclosed.
