Tulare County, California (November 6, 2022) – Authorities are investigating a Friday night traffic accident that killed a woman and injured another person in Tulare County.

The crash occurred at about 11:00 p.m., on November 4, on Highway 198 near Road 182.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a reckless driver rear-ended a Subaru forester near road 182 before veering across the center median and colliding with a Ford Fusion.

The reckless driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Ford was taken to Kaweah health medical center with moderate injuries. The Subaru’s driver was not injured.

It was unclear if drugs or alcohol played a role in the mishap.

Traffic on the roadway was stopped for an unknown period due to the collision.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
