Yakima, WA.- A woman was hit and injured by a Yakima Police Department vehicle on Thursday afternoon in Yakima, according to the Yakima Police Department.
The incident took place on North First Street and Staff Sgt. Pendleton Way at about 4:53 p.m. on March 13.
A woman walking her dog was reportedly hit by a patrol car that was making a left turn at the intersection.
The woman was rushed to MultiCare Yakima Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The dog died at the scene of the crash.
The officer was not injured.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
