, CA. – 10-year-old Corday Brown died when he was struck by a vehicle Sunday in Southwest Fresno, according to the Sheriff's Office.

Brown was crossing Golden State Boulevard near State Route 99 when he was hit by a southbound car.

The boy was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The driver involved stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

Police do not believe impairment was a contributing factor.

The California Highway Patrol is leading the investigation.

Fresno, CA. – A young boy died after being struck by a car in Fresno on Sunday.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Golden State Boulevard near State Route 99.

A 10-year-old boy was crossing the street and was struck by a southbound car.

The boy was taken to an area hospital, where he later died.

The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the police.

Police said alcohol does not appear to be a factor.
