Woodland, CA – One person died, and three others were seriously injured in a traffic collision that happened Sunday night in Woodland, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The incident occurred around 10:23 p.m. on County Road 102, just south of County Road 16.
According to CHP, a Hyundai and an Acura were involved in the crash. The Acura crossed from the southbound CR-102 to the northbound lanes, where it collided with the Hyundai.
Yolo County firefighters responded to the scene with three ambulances.
The report said a passenger in the Acura died in the crash. The county coroner also responded following the deadly accident.
The Acura's driver and a second passenger, as well as the driver of the Hyundai, sustained major injuries. They were hospitalized in unknown condition.
The roadway remained closed until around 2:39 p.m.
Authorities are investigating the incident.
