Union City, CA – The Union City Police Department reported that the 14-year-old girl who was critically injured last week in a truck accident in the city has died.
The collision occurred around 8:05 a.m. on September 11, 2026, at Alvarado-Niles Road and Decoto Road.
A silver Mazda and a commercial box truck were involved in the accident.
The girl was a passenger in the front seat of the car. She was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
On Monday, UCPD reported that they were notified that the girl died from her injuries.
The UCPD’s Traffic Unit is investigating the accident.

Union City, CA. – A teenager was injured in a crash on Friday morning in Union City.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Alvarado-Niles Road just west of Decoto Road at around 8 a.m.
A car reportedly collided with a large commercial truck in unclear circumstances.
A teenager who was riding in the car was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
Both drivers remained at the scene and cooperated with the police.
