Weed, CA. – Two people were seriously injured in a traffic collision that happened Sunday afternoon in Weed, the California Highway Patrol said.
The accident was reported around 12:45 p.m. on northbound Interstate 5, just north of North Weed Boulevard.
Reportedly, a car moved from the southbound side and hit another vehicle head-on in the northbound lanes.
Two people sustained major injuries in the crash. Emergency personnel responded to the scene and provided medical aid to the victims.
Debris from the crash was scattered in the roadway over about 400 feet.
An investigation to determine the cause of the crash is ongoing.
