Tracy, CA – A motorcyclist died after colliding with a car Thursday morning on Interstate 5 in Tracy, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The incident occurred around 7:30 a.m. on the northbound I-5 near the State Route 132 on-ramp.
A Harley-Davidson motorcycle and a Toyota car were involved in the crash.
The driver of the Toyota called authorities to report the accident, saying that the motorcyclist was taking the on-ramp to the northbound I-5 when they reportedly lost control and slid in front of the Toyota.
The car driver pulled over to the right shoulder after the collision.
Firefighters responded to the scene and attempted CPR on the rider. The victim died from injuries suffered in the accident.
Authorities are investigating to establish the cause of the crash.
