Thermal, CA – 6 Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash at State Route 86 and 62nd Avenue

Investigations revealed that a Jeep was traveling southbound on State Route 86 when it failed to stop for a red light and crashed into the side of a Toyota sedan that was heading east on 62nd Avenue.

Thermal, CA – Several people were injured in a traffic collision that took place at a Thermal intersection on Thursday afternoon.

According to a report by the California Highway Patrol, the wreck occurred at around 4 p.m. July 9, on State Route 86 and 62nd Avenue.

Investigations revealed that a Jeep was traveling southbound on State Route 86 when it failed to stop for a red light and crashed into the side of a Toyota sedan that was heading east on 62nd Avenue.

The CHP and CAL FIRE crews immediately responded to the scene after receiving reports of the accident.

After evaluation of six injured parties, four were taken to a hospital while the other two declined transport.

The hospitalized patients reportedly had minor injuries. A juvenile riding in the Jeep was among the hospitalized patients.

The California Highway Patrol is handling an ongoing investigation into the incident.
