Sonora, CA – 3 Injured in Crash with CAL Fire Pickup Truck on Fairview Lane and Stockton Street

The CHP reported that Thomas Fraser was driving the CAL Fire pickup truck south on Stockton Street with the lights activated when he collided with a 2026 Subaru that pulled into the intersection.

Sonora, CA – Three people were injured in a collision involving a CAL Fire pickup truck on Sunday afternoon at a Sonora intersection.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the wreck happened shortly after 1 p.m. August 23, on Fairview Lane and Stockton Street.

The CHP reported that Thomas Fraser was driving the CAL Fire pickup truck south on Stockton Street with the lights activated when he collided with a 2026 Subaru that pulled into the intersection.

The pickup truck then collided with a 2011 Honda Pilot that was stopped on Fairview Lane.

The driver of the Subaru, Lori Cook, 71, of Sonora, was flown to Memorial Medical Center in Modesto with minor injuries.

Fraser and the driver of the Honda, Daenara Watson, 30, of Sonora, were both treated for minor injuries at the scene.

According to CHP, the involved drivers were wearing their seat belts at the time of the accident. Impairment was not believed to have played a role in the incident.

The cause of the crash remained under investigation by the California Higwhay Patrol.
