Pedestrian Injured in Santa Cruz Accident on Ocean Street
Santa Cruz, California (August 5, 2021) – A pedestrian was injured when they were hit by a vehicle that crashed into the Ferrell's Donut Shop located at 1403 Ocean Street in Santa Cruz on Wednesday night, according to the authorities.
The accident happened at around midnight Wednesday, August 4.
Authorities said the driver of a black Ford Expedition lost control after the floormart on the driver's side got stuck under the accelerator.
The Ford slammed into the donut shop, striking a pedestrian.

The pedestrian was taken to a Berkeley trauma center with unspecified injuries.
A bicycle was also struck by the vehicle. It's unclear whether the bike belonged to the pedestrian.
The involved motorist stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
The incident is under investigation.
