Santa Barbara, CA – A cyclist and a motorcyclist were injured in a traffic collision that happened Sunday morning in Santa Barbara.

The incident occurred around 10:50 a.m. on July 19, 2026, in the 2200 block of Gibraltar Road.

Noozhawk reported that a bike and a motorcycle collided in the area, leaving two people injured.

The California Highway Patrol, the Santa Barbara Fire Department, the Montecito Fire Department, and other agencies responded to the scene.

The cyclist sustained serious injuries in the crash. A Calstar helicopter was initially dispatched to airlift the victim but was shortly after cancelled due to timing issues. The patient was instead transported by an American Medical Response ground ambulance to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.

The motorcyclist was also taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Investigators closed the roadway while they worked the scene.
