San Juan Bautista, CA – A late Thursday morning rollover collision involving a box truck in San Juan Bautista left at least one person with minor injuries.
Authorities received reports of the collision just before 12 p.m. on April 23 on westbound State Route 156, just east of Rocks Road.
A white Volkswagen SUV and a box truck were involved in the accident. Both vehicles ended up about 10 feet down a ditch, where the SUV overturned onto its side.
An occupant in the SUV was trapped inside the vehicle. Firefighters responded to the scene and freed the victim.
One person sustained minor injuries in the accident. It was unclear if the victim was hospitalized.
The SUV was towed away with half of its rear smashed in.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
