San Jose Man Hit, Killed by Vehicle on Interstate 280 in San Jose

, California (August 1, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a Sunday morning traffic accident that killed a 40-year-old San Jose man in San Jose.

The deadly accident transpired at about 2:20 a.m. on northbound Interstate Highway 280 from the Fourth Street on-ramp.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a 1972 Chevy Impala, driven by the man, entered the northbound Highway 280 from the Fourth Street on-ramp and was crossing lanes and was struck by a Toyota Prius.

Following the collision, both drivers got out of their cars. Unfortunately, a BMW sedan came up in the left lane and hit both cars hitting the San Jose man.

Sadly, the San Jose man was knocked over the guardrail and into a parking lot below, where he was pronounced dead.

Two men in the BMW suffered minor injuries.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
