San Jose, CA – One person was killed in a collision involving multiple vehicles on Story Road in San Jose on Friday morning, according to the San Jose Police Department.

The wreck occurred at Lucretia Avenue at about 11:56 a.m. on Friday, April 17.

Initial reports indicate that a driver in a silver vehicle was allegedly weaving in and out of traffic on Story Road before crashing into a Tesla. The driver continued on and crashed into three other vehicles near Lucretia Avenue.

According to San Jose police, one person was pronounced deceased at the site of the collision. The victim’s identity was not immediately released.

There was no update on the conditions of other individuals involved in the collision.

Whether impairment or speed factored in the crash was not confirmed and no arrests were reported by the authorities.

The eastbound and westbound lanes of Story Road were shut down between Roberts Avenue and McLaughlin Avenue for hours while police investigated the incident and firefighters cleared the scene.
