San Francisco, CA – Two people were sent to the hospital after a truck struck a street light pole Sunday afternoon at an intersection in San Francisco, authorities reported.

The San Francisco Police Department received reports of the crash just before 12:30 p.m. on August 9, 2026, on O’Farrell Street at Cyril Magnin Street near Handlery Hotel.

According to authorities, a Ford pickup truck hit a street light pole under unclear circumstances. The truck may also have hit a delivery truck.

Two pedestrians were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
