Authorities were first informed about the accident by a witness who reported a collision involving a pedestrian and a red vehicle with hazards.
Police officers, firefighters, and paramedics responded to the scene and found a scooter rider who had been hit by a car.
The rider was transported to Mercy San Juan Medical Center with minor to moderate head injuries.
