According to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, the incident started when deputies witnessed a car without lights near West El Camino Avenue and Interstate 80.
Sacramento County, CA – One person was critically injured, and a 15-year-old girl was arrested after a police pursuit ended in a Multi-vehicle accident early Friday morning in Sacramento County.
According to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, the incident started when deputies witnessed a car without lights near West El Camino Avenue and Interstate 80.
The deputies attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver sped away, prompting authorities to initiate a chase.
The pursuit ended when the car collided with two other vehicles on El Centro Road.
One of the innocent drivers was hospitalized in critical condition, but was stabilized and is expected to survive.
The driver of the car being pursued, identified as a 15-year-old girl, was also taken to the hospital before being cleared and booked into juvenile hall.
The driver of the third vehicle was not injured.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
