Richard Ray struck and killed by car on Highway 50 near 15th Street in Sacramento
Sacramento, CA. – Richard Allen Ray, 36, has been identified as the pedestrian who died after being struck by a car in Sacramento on Sunday night.
The fatal auto-pedestrian accident happened around 10 p.m. along eastbound Highway 50 just west of 15th Street, according to the CHP.
The man was in the roadway when he was struck by a red Kia. The driver told the police he tried to swerve, but could not avoid hitting the pedestrian.
Ray suffered fatal injuries in the collision.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
