Rancho Bernardo, CA – 61-Year-Old Woman Hit and Injured by Vehicle on Calle Saucillo

Investigations revealed that a woman was attempting to walk across Calle Saucillo, outside of a marked crosswalk, when she was hit by a Chevrolet Malibu that was heading west.

Rancho Bernardo, CA – A pedestrian was hit and injured by a vehicle on Wednesday evening in Rancho Bernardo, according to the San Diego Police Department.

The wreck happened at around 7:08 p.m. July 29, at 12300 Calle Saucillo.

Investigations revealed that a woman was attempting to walk across Calle Saucillo, outside of a marked crosswalk, when she was hit by a Chevrolet Malibu that was heading west.

The pedestrian, only identified as a 61-year-old woman, was rushed to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, including a spinal fracture and an open elbow fracture.

According to the investigators, alcohol and drugs were not believed to have played a role in the incident.

The San Diego Police Department is conducting an investigation to establish the cause of the accident.
