Port Orchard, WA – A man was killed in a single-vehicle accident that happened near Port Orchard in Kitsap County on Friday.
According to Kitsap County Sheriff’s Department, the accident occurred on Bowe Lane SE and Jacobs Lane SE on Friday, January 9.
A preliminary investigation found that a man driving in the area lost control and slammed into a tree. The man is suspected to have had a medical episode just prior to the accident.
The KCSO deputies and firefighters responded to the scene and located the driver inside the vehicle.
Authorities said the driver, who was the sole occupant, was deceased at the scene. His identity was not immediately released.
There were no additional details on the accident. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
