The officer suffered minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment

Clovis, CA. – A police officer was injured in a collision while responding to a car for service on Tuesday morning in Clovis.
The accident was reported around 11:32 a.m. near Shaw and Leonard Avenues, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The officer was traveling eastbound on Shaw Avenue when a car traveling southbound on DeWolf ran a red light and collided with the patrol car.
The officer suffered minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Authorities said it appears the driver of the other vehicle was distracted at the time of the crash.
