Pismo Beach, CA – Three people were hospitalized after a multi-vehicle collision that took place on Highway 101 near Pismo Beach on Wednesday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
At around 2:53 p.m. February 4, authorities responded to reports of a four-car crash near the Price Street off-ramp.
According to CHP logs, a gray Volkswagen Jetta, a white Lexus, a white minivan, and a Ram truck towing a flatbed car trailer collided in the southbound lanes of the highway. The report did not specify the factors that led up to the collision.
Firefighters and medical crews responded to help out at the scene. No one needed to be extricated from any of the vehicles but three parties were found to be injured.
There was no update on the condition of the injured parties. An ambulance was dispatched to the scene but it’s unclear whether anyone was transported to a hospital.
The collision cauaed the closure of one southbound lanes as crews worked to clear scene. Three tow trucks were requested to transport damaged vehicles from the scene.
No additional information on the incident was released. The California Highway Patrol is conducting an investigation into the incident.
