Pierce County, WA – A Washington State Patrol trooper was injured in a crash that happened in Pierce County on Monday night, according to the authorities.
The wreck took place on State Route 512 at Canyon Road East shorty after 7 p.m. January 5.
According to investigators, the trooper’s car was struck from behind by a driver following too closely in the eastbound side of SR 512. The impact caused a chain-reaction involving two other vehicles.
The trooper was transported to a hospital with minor injuries. No other injuries were reported in the incident.
The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene. The crash remained under investigation.
