Authorities responded at around 8 p.m. September 29, to a crash near Indian School Road and Grand Avenue.

Investigations revealed that a man was hit by a vehicle near the intersection under unclear circumstances.

Police and firefighters responded to the scene and located the pedestrian with major injuries.

The victim was taken to a hospital, where he was declared deceased.

The involved driver reportedly remained at the scene and was cooperative with the investigators.

The accident caused a closure of both directions of Indian School Road as authorities investigated the accident.

The Phoenix Police Department is still investigating the deadly collision.
