Police reported that the woman was riding a bicycle heading west on a sidewalk along Bethany Home Road when she was hit by a truck that was driving out of a business.
Phoenix, AZ – A woman was hit and killed by a vehicle while riding a bicycle in Phoenix on Thursday afternoon, according to a report by the Phoenix Police Department.
The collision that happened near Bethany Home Road and 35th Avenue at around 4 p.m. July 2.
Police reported that the woman was riding a bicycle heading west on a sidewalk along Bethany Home Road when she was hit by a truck that was driving out of a business.
Phoenix police responded to the site of the accident and the bicyclist was declared deceased shortly after.
The driver of the truck remained at the scene and was not suspected to have been impaired.
The cause of the collision is under investigation by the Phoenix Police Department.
