According to the California Highway Patrol Woodland Area Office, the crash occurred around 10:17 p.m. on the southbound I-5, just north of County Road 22.

Woodland, CA. – A person suffered major injuries Friday night after falling from the Yolo Bypass during a two-vehicle crash along Interstate 5, authorities said.
According to the California Highway Patrol Woodland Area Office, the crash occurred around 10:17 p.m. on the southbound I-5, just north of County Road 22.
The collision involved a Toyota and a BMW.
After the crash, one person involved could not be located.
Investigators later learned the individual may have fallen from the Yolo Bypass.
A CHP helicopter, Yolo County sheriff's deputies, and firefighters searched the area and found the victim beneath the bypass.
The person suffered major injuries and was transported to a hospital by ambulance.
Authorities said alcohol and drugs do not appear to be factors.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
