Sacramento, CA. – A woman died after being struck by a vehicle Thursday evening in midtown Sacramento, according to the Sacramento Police Department.
The crash happened around 6:30 p.m. on 29th Street near K Street.
SPD said the victim was transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries, where she was later pronounced dead.
Police closed 29th Street at K Street for several hours as officers investigated the fatal pedestrian crash. Drivers in the area were advised to take alternate routes.
The SPD is handling the investigation.
