Carmichael, CA.– A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle in Carmichael on Wednesday evening, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision happened at about 6:40 p.m. March 5, on Marconi Avenue near Walnut Avenue.
According to the report, a woman was walking across Marconi Avenue outside of the crosswalk when she was struck by a westbound sedan.
The victim, a woman in her 40s, was rushed to a hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.
No further details were released.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
