Tukwila, WA.- A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle in Tukwila on Friday morning, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The incident took place at about 6:08 a.m. March 28, on SR 599 near South 133rd Street.
According to the report, a vehicle was traveling northbound on SR 599 when it collided with a pedestrian in the right lane.
The female pedestrian was thrown into the center median by the impact of the crash.
Medics attempted life-saving measures on the pedestrian but she succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and was not suspected of DUI.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
