According to police, a woman was trying to walk across the roadway outside of the crosswalk when she was struck by a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 39-year-old man

Redlands, CA.- A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle in the area of Redlands on Monday morning, according to the Redlands Police Department.
The incident took place on Lugonia Avenue and Washington Street, just before 9:30 a.m. August 4.
According to police, a woman was trying to walk across the roadway outside of the crosswalk when she was struck by a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 39-year-old man.
Bystanders performed life-saving measures on the victim before emergency crews arrived.
The victim was then rushed to a hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.
The victim was only identified as a 67-year-old woman.
Speed and impairment were not believed to have a played a role in the collision, police reported.
The incident is under investigation.
