Police reported that a vehicle was traveling southbound on Marks Avenue when it struck a pedestrian at the intersection

Fresno, CA. – A pedestrian was hit and injured by a vehicle in northwest Fresno on Wednesday night, according to the police.
The incident took place on Marks and Ashcroft avenues at about 9:06 p.m. August 13.
Fresno police reported that a vehicle was traveling southbound on Marks Avenue when it struck a pedestrian at the intersection.
The pedestrian was taken to a hospital with unspecified injuries.
A child who was walking next to the pedestrian was not hit but suffered injuries unrelated to the crash.
The child was also taken to a hospital for treatment
