Perris, CA. – A pedestrian was seriously injured after being hit by a vehicle Wednesday night in Perris, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The incident occurred around 11:46 p.m. on 22867 Mountain Avenue, also known as Highway 74, near Sophie Street.
Authorities said the pedestrian was hit by a Lexus under unclear circumstances.
Paramedics transported the victim to the hospital for treatment. The patient was at some point critical, not breathing, and with no pulse.
The car was towed away from the scene.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
