Burbank, CA.- A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle in Burbank on Saturday night, the California Highway Patrol reported.
At around 7:09 p.m., authorities responded to reports of a crash on the 5 Freeway near Verdugo Avenue.
A man was walking across the southbound lanes when he was hit by a vehicle.
The pedestrian was killed in the accident.
The victim's name was not immediately released.
At least three southboubd lanes were shut down following the accident.
The collision is under investigation.
