Sacramento, CA – Authorities are investigating an incident where a pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle in Sacramento on Friday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident took place on Highway 99 near Mack Road.
A vehicle reportedly hit a pedestrian in the northbound lanes of the highway under unclear circumstances.
The pedestrian, who was not immediately identified, died at the scene of the accident.
The involved driver stayed at the scene and was not suspected to have been driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
