National City, CA – One person was hospitalized after a two-vehicle collision that took place Sunday afternoon in National City, the California Highway Patrol reported.

Authorities said the incident occurred around 12:34 p.m. on westbound State Route 54 near the National City Boulevard off-ramp.

A white GMC pickup truck and a silver Nissan pickup were involved in the crash.

National City police, firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene.

One person was transported to the hospital with unknown injuries.

CHP is investigating the collision.
