According to WSP, a 50-year-old Seattle man was riding a motorcycle southbound on SR 509 when he moved from lane two to lane one so as to take the Myers Way South exit

Seattle, WA.- A motorcyclist was killed in a collision that took place in South Seattle on Saturday night, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The incident happened on SR 509 near Myers Way South on Saturday, September 13.
According to WSP, a 50-year-old Seattle man was riding a motorcycle southbound on SR 509 when he moved from lane two to lane one so as to take the Myers Way South exit.
A driver traveling in lane one collided with the motorcyclist and pushed him back into lane two.
The driver then hit a second vehicle driven by a 44-year-old from Burien and the impact caused that vehicle to hit the motorcyclist.
The driver who first collided with the motorcyclist fled the scene after the accident.
The second driver stopped at the scene.
The motorcyclist, who was not identified, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
